Album Info:I intercepted Vermont Railways' every-Saturday-morning slurry train, which runs from Rutland to an interchange with Pan Am in Bellows Falls. The slurry is bound for paper mills in Maine. This is a heavy-tonnage train operating over a highly-scenic mountain railroad.

Bartonsville Covered Bridge
Title:  Bartonsville Covered Bridge
Description:  The original Bartonsville Covered bridge was wiped out by flooding from Hurricane Irene in 2011. The townsfolk of Bartonsville wisely decided to replace it with a replica covered bridge instead of a more modern girder structure. I believe the last time I photographed at this location was back in the 1980's when Steamtown was still running out of Bellows Falls, VT. This is also the last shot in my Saturday chase. I headed back south to PA after this shot due to urgent social responsibilities (i.e. kissing my wife at midnight on New Year's eve.)
