Title:
PRR 5337, K-4S, c. 1947
Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Englewood, Illinois. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5337 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #5337 was built in Juniata during March of 1918 and retired in January of 1949 after 31 years of faithful service. Perhaps the "Second Engine" here is #5352? The photographer's name and the exactdate are not recorded.
