Description:
Here is page 47 of Benson W. Rohrbeck's 75-page monograph entitled "Altoona's Trolleys" that was published in 1980. Top Photo Caption: "8th Street Bridge carries 'Juniata-East Altoona' tracks over the PRR's main line. Here, car 144 rumbles into East Altoona, c. 1940." This structure is also known as the "Red Bridge." It spans the PRR's two mainline passenger tracks, as well as many east- and westbound yard tracks. ROSE Tower is situated next to it.
