Description: |
CRI&P E7 636 on Train #17 at Saint Paul, Minnesota, February 5, 1966, photo by Chuck Zeiler. According to the June 1965 issue of The Official Guide, Train #17 was the Twin Star Rocket, departing Saint Paul daily at 11:30 AM and arriving at Fort Worth, Texas, at 8:45 AM the next day. A dining car and a parlor-lounge car was offered between Minneapolis and Kansas City, and a lounge-buffet was offered between Kansas City and Fort Worth, and connections were offered between #17 and #3, the Golden State, at Kansas City, with reserved reclining chair cars seats at extra fare. |
