DuPont 29423 was one of 40 cars (DUPX 29400-29439) built by General American Transportation in April 1970. The cars had a capacity of 39,200 gallons, a gross rail load of 394,000 pounds and an overall length of 90 feet 3 inches. All were retired by 2005. This car was in Hexamethylenediamine service and was on the end of a westbound train heading up the HUEY P. LONG BRIDGE at New Orleans.
