John Mallory General If you will accept a slight correction, the former DOT E8 in the description was numbered 210, not 240. It was owned by the Central Oklahoma Railfan Club (CORC). As for the old tower, it was razed in December 2004. The staircase had already been taken down sometime before demolition, I just don't know when. UP wanted that tower demolished, so my guess is that they had the stairs dismantled to keep vandals out. And with good reason -- the interior had been ransacked numerous times over the years. I had private hopes that the upper east wall with "The Rock" and stylized "R" would be saved somehow, but it was not to be. 1/19/2013 9:35:11 PM
