Jerry Sires General Transcaer is a safety training program and there are several railroads that have cars such as this one. The cars have so many different hatches because there are different types of plumbing for various types of tankcars. You can actually go inside some of the cars to see where the piping goes to have a better understanding of how it functions. Tankcar safety and operations training is given to railroad personnel, refinery plant operators, and first responders (hazmat techs). 9/29/2011 9:34:47 AM
