| Built for Missouri Pacific as GP38-2 2217 in July 1980, this diesel joined the UP roster in 1983 but kept the same number. During the renumbering program brought on by the SP merger, this locomotive became 717 and received remote control equipment. Jenks blue is visible above the radiator intake screen. |
