Slumbercoach  Contributor's Pick!       
One of the more economic ways to travel and get a sleeper was the Slumbercoach. They had single and double units, available for only $15 over coach fare for a single when this was taken. The rooms were tiny, but beat the snot out of sleeping in a coach seat. This one is westbound on the Broadway-as if the signal was not a giveaway!!

Ted Brumberg General This is not Amtrak #2263, which was ex-UP 11 bedroom sleeper PLACID LAKE (now #800255 BERLIN), but instead Amtrak #2093 LOCH KATRINE, built in 1959 as B&O #7702 RESTLAND, to NP in 1964 as #330 LOCH KATRINE, to BN #1485 (not applied) to Amtrak #2029 to HEP in 1981 as #2093, now owned by the Grand Canyon RY. 2/13/2015 9:14:01 PM
