Built in 1917 by Pullman as N&W business car #300, and modernized in 1955. The 1985 NS passenger car diagram folio shows that the #300 was renumbered to NS #5 (1st), however, this photo from 1987 shows that this was either not applied, or the car was changed back to N&W #300 after being sold to private ownership. Under private ownership, the #300 was later repainted dark blue and renamed OCEAN. Scanned with an Epson V550 from an original Kodachrome 35mm slide. |
