PRR 2239, EF-22, 1964
WIL-ALT-64. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Harrisburg to Altoona on 03 July 1964. Shown here (R to L) are partial views of PRR engines #2239 and #2245. Both are EF-22's built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. They are pulling an eastbound merchandise freight train near Perdix, Pennsylvania. Visible in the distance is Blue Mountain. (That train is moving left to right; my train is moving right to left.)
