Larsen Cooperative merged with CHS, Inc. on 1 Sep. '12. At right, a railcar mover positions covered hoppers for loading. The idle Proppant Specialists, LLC, facility is partially visible at left. Train had three locomotives, CN 2827 and CN 2807 up front and CN 2909 mid-train. Some confuse North Readfield with slightly larger Readfield, 1 mile to the south. This is likely due, in part, because everything in the former has a mailing address of the latter. The pair of unincorporated communities are distinct, and the latter has no railroad tracks. |
