| While heading north out of Sumter, stumbled on this scene. This was a segment of track on an abandoned line between Sumter and Florence, SC. The track ended about a mile south of this area (looking south). At first thought a new road was being built, but an existing road already paralells this section of track. Where the existing track ends there was a string of loaded coal hoppers, maybe the line going back into service for storage??? |
