Implied Section Caption: "The Memorial Locomotive." All of these photos show Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918, retired in September of 1956 after 2,469,000 revenue miles, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve in June of 1957, restored for excursion service in April of 1987, withdrawn for safety reasons, disassembled for repairs, and still awaiting resuscitation. |
