Southern Pacific U33C 8651 and an SD40 were on the Southern Railway’s New Orleans Terminal Co. subsidiary with Southern train No. 193. The train had just passed over Marconi Drive and was crossing the Orleans Avenue Drainage Canal, and would be delivered to the SP at the east end of the Huey P. Long Bridge.
