The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad tried out Alco Products CENTURY 415 demonstrator 415 for a week in June 1967. Here, the unit was switching at the railroad’s PAULINE STREET YARD along the Mississippi River. Alco sold the 415 to Hamersley Iron Proprietary Limited in Western Australia about a year later, in May 1968, and it has been preserved at the Pilbara Railways Historical Society. |
