Baltimore & Ohio 40-foot, 50-ton WAGONTOP box car B&O 375221 was in the Louisville & Nashville HOUSE TRACK at Pascagoula, Mississippi on 20 May 1958. This Class M-15P car had a CAPY of 100,000 pounds, a LD LMT of 124,800 and a LT WT of 44,200 pounds, for a gross rail load of 169,000 pounds. The 375221 began life in June 1912 as a 40-ton M-15A wood sheathed car. The B&O rebuilt it into a 40-ton M-15K WAGONTOP car in 1936 or 1937, and then rebuilt it again into a 50-ton M-15P car at its shop in Washington, Indiana in July 1955. It was lettered BLT 6-12 and REBLT 7-55. |
