| R2W. Here is the first of 13 original photos that I took while riding an Amtrak passenger train from Rye, New York, to Washington, DC, on 26 July 1987. Shown here is a six-car Metro North Commuter Railroad train. It's just entering the Rye Passenger Station and will soon stop to discharge and taken on passengers on its journey from Stamford, Connecticut, to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The name of the Engineman and numbers of the M-8 commuter cars pictured here are not recorded. |
