| R2W. Here is the second of 13 original photos that I took while riding an Amtrak passenger train from Rye, New York, to Washington, DC, on 26 July 1987. Shown here is a six-car Metro North Commuter Railroad train. It's just departing the Rye Passenger Station and after stopping to discharge and taken on passengers on its journey from Stamford, Connecticut, to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The numbers of the M-8 commuter cars pictured here are not recorded. |
