Shown here (R to F) are the skyline of midtown Manhattan, the southern abutment of the Whitestone Bridge, as well as various buildings in upper Queens. The silhouette of the Empire State Building is discernable just to the left of center. Photo taken while crossing the Hell Gate Bridge, which was opened on 28 March 1917. |
