One of the 18 Mountain type 4-8-2 locos built by Baldwin in 1935. Eaco one carried a name designated by a winning contest entry - Intrepid was the winning name for #4107. Specifics - class R-1, 73" drivers, 240 psi boiler pressure, 2;"x31" cylinders, engine weight of 416,100 lb, tractive effort of 67,918 lb. Eventually sold to the B&O in 1947.
