Description:
This is a fine example of a 2-8-2 Mikado built by Baldwin in May of 1922, Originally it carried the number MILW 8301 but was renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 401. The loco met up with the scrapper's torch in December of 1954 after nearly 32 years of service. Specs - L-2b class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
