| Cab Ride. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in the cab of a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger locomotive from Pittsburgh to Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 December 1962. Shown here are several EMD "F" units hauling a string of empty hopper cars at Signals #2502 and #2504 near Lilly, Pennsylvania. The unit closest to the camera is PRR engine #9555, an EH-15 built by EMD in 1949 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. |
